சமூக ஊடகங்களில் உங்களுக்குத் தெரியாத நபர்களிடமிருந்து வரும் அழைப்புகளை ஏற்காதீர்கள்!- உங்கள் தனிப்பட்ட விவரங்களைச் சேகரித்து உங்களை மோசடி செய்ய முயற்சிக்கக்கூடும்!-தமிழ்நாடு காவல்துறை எச்சரிக்கை.

While Social media platforms and Instant messaging apps give wide range of connectivity options, it is also used by scammers who exploit the information provided by users in social media, for extortion. Scammers use social engineering techniques to find information about the user, befriend and trap the user and extort money.

Tactics of Cyber Criminals :

• Cyber criminals will create a fake social media handle with display picture and details of young women.
• They, then Surf through the platform for random user accounts and target accounts with less privacy protection.
• The scammers will go through the account for more information like places, work, friends, and posts.
• After collecting sufficient details about the victim, they will send friend request to them. When the request is accepted, they will send more request to their mutual friends.
• The cyber criminals will send text messages through chat and befriend the user and gains his trust to exchange contact numbers.
• They will continue to chat with the users and will convince the victim to call them on video call.
• The cyber criminals will show a prerecorded video to the victim on the video call. In the video call, the victim will be shown obscene video of girls and they will try to convince the victim also to act in an inappropriate manner.
• The cyber criminals will record the entire video call and demand a ransom from the victim to avoid uploading the same on the Internet.
• Sometimes the video calls are edited with obscene videos to appear as if the victim was performing indecent activities.
Suggested precautions :
• Before accepting friend request always check the account creation date since most fake accounts will be created just before the scam.
• Always lock your social media profile through privacy setting to prevent impersonation of your account.
• If you see that a fake account is created of someone you know , immediately notify the person and report the profile to the social media platform.
• Do not engage with strangers on Social media sites, since they might try to collect your personal details and scam you.
• Be cautions while attending any calls from the persons whom you do not know.
• If you are a victim of such scams , file a complaint on https : // cyber crime.gov.in/

சமூக ஊடக தளங்கள் மற்றும் செய்தியிடல் போன்ற பயன்பாடுகள் பரந்த அளவிலான இணைப்பை சாதகமாக்குகிறது. மோசடி செய்பவர்கள் சமூக ஊடகங்களில் பயனர்கள் அளிக்கும் தகவல்களை திருடி, அவர்களை மிரட்டி பணம் பறிக்க வழிவகை செய்கின்றார்கள். ஸ்கேமர்கள் சமூக பொறியியல் நுட்பங்களைப் பயன்படுத்தி பயனரைப் பற்றிய தகவல்களைக் கண்டுபிடிக்கவும், பயனருடன் நட்பு கொண்டு அவர்களின் கட்டுபாட்டுக்குள் வரவழைத்து பணத்தை பறிக்கின்றனர்.

சைபர் குற்றவாளிகளின் தந்திரோபாயங்கள்:

• சைபர் குற்றவாளிகள் இளம் பெண்களின் புகைப்படம் மற்றும் விவரங்களுடன் கூடிய ஒரு போலி சமூக ஊடக கணக்கினை உருவாக்குவார்கள்.
• சீரற்ற பயனர் கணக்குகள் மற்றும் குறைந்த தனியுரிமை பாதுகாப்பைக் கொண்ட கணக்குகளுக்கான தளத்தின் மூலம் உலாவுகின்றன.
• மோசடி செய்பவர்கள் கூடுதல் தகவலுக்காக பயனர் கணக்குகளை ஆராய்ந்து அவர்களின் இருப்பிடங்கள், வேலை, நண்பர்கள் மற்றும் இடுகைகள் போன்ற தகவல்களுக்கு கணக்கின் வழியாகச் செல்வார்கள்.
• பயனர் பற்றிய போதுமான விவரங்களைச் சேகரித்த பிறகு, அவர்கள் நண்பர் கோரிக்கையை அனுப்புவார்கள். கோரிக்கை ஏற்றுக் கொண்ட பின்¸ அவர்களது நண்பர்களுக்கும் கூடுதல் கோரிக்கையை அனுப்புவார்கள்.
• சைபர் குற்றவாளிகள் உரையாடல் மூலம் குறுஞ்செய்திகளை அனுப்பி பயனருடன் நட்பு கொண்டு தொடர்பு எண்களை பரிமாறிக்கொள்ளும் நம்பிக்கையைப் பெறுவார்கள்.
• சைபர் குற்றவாளிகள் பயனர்களுடன் தொடர்ந்து உரையாடல் செய்து பயனரை வீடியோ அழைப்பில் அழைக்கும்படி அவர்களை நம்ப வைப்பார்கள்.
• சைபர் குற்றவாளிகள் வீடியோ அழைப்பில் ஏற்கனவே பதிவுசெய்யப்பட்ட பெண்களின் ஆபாச வீடியோவை காண்பிப்பார்கள், மேலும் அவர்கள் பயனரை பொருத்தமற்ற முறையில் நடந்து கொள்ளும்படி ஊக்குவிப்பார்கள்.
• சைபர் குற்றவாளிகள் முழு வீடியோ அழைப்பையும் பதிவுசெய்து, அப்பதிவை இணையத்தில் பதிவேற்றாமல் இருக்க பயனரிடமிருந்து பணத்தை கேட்டு அச்சுறுத்துவார்கள்.
• சில நேரங்களில் பயனர் உரையாடல் செய்யும் வீடியோ அழைப்புகளை பதிவு செய்து அதனை ஆபாச வீடியோக்களுடன் அநாகரீகமான செயல்களைச் செய்வது போல் காட்சியளிக்கப்படுகிறது.
பரிந்துரைக்கப்பட்ட முன்னெச்சரிக்கைகள்:
• நண்பர் கோரிக்கையை ஏற்றுக்கொள்வதற்கு முன், கணக்கு உருவாக்கும் தேதியை சரிபார்க்கவும், மோசடிக்கு சற்று முன்னர் பெரும்பாலான போலி கணக்குகள் உருவாக்குகின்றனர்.
• உங்கள் கணக்கினை போன்று போலி கணக்கினை உருவாக்குவதை தடுக்க தனியுரிமை அமைப்பு மூலம் உங்கள் சமூக ஊடக சுயவிவரத்தை மற்றவர்களுக்கு தெரியபடுத்தும்படி வைத்தல் கூடாது.
• உங்களுக்குத் தெரிந்த ஒருவரின் பெயரில் போலி கணக்கு உருவாக்கப்பட்டிருப்பதை நீங்கள் கண்டால், உடனடியாக அந்நபருக்கு தெரியபடுத்தி சமூக ஊடக தளத்தில் புகாரளிக்கவும்.
• சமூக ஊடக தளங்களில் அறிமுகமில்லாதவர்களிடம் எவ்வித தொடர்பிலும் ஈடுபட வேண்டாம், ஏனென்றால் அவர்கள் உங்கள் தனிப்பட்ட விவரங்களைச் சேகரித்து உங்களை மோசடி செய்ய முயற்சிக்கக்கூடும்.
• உங்களுக்குத் தெரியாத நபர்களிடமிருந்து வரும் எந்தவித அழைப்புகளையும் ஏற்காதீர்கள், எச்சரிக்கையாக இருங்கள்.
• இது போன்ற மோசடியில் நீங்கள் பாதிக்கப்பட்டிருந்தால், https: // cyber Crime.gov.in/ என்ற வலைதளத்தில் புகார் அளிக்கவும்.
