ரூ.58.5 லட்சம் மதிப்புள்ள போதை மாத்திரைகள், எல்எஸ்டி ஸ்டாம்புகள் மற்றும் கஞ்சா ஆகியவற்றை சென்னை விமான நிலைய சுங்க அதிகாரிகள் பறிமுதல் செய்தனர். இது தொடர்பாக இருவர் கைது செய்யப்பட்டனர்.
போதைப் பொருள் கடத்தி வரப்படுவதாக, சென்னை விமான நிலைய சுங்கத்துறைக்கு கிடைத்த தகவல் படி, சென்னையில் வெளிநாட்டு தபால் அலுவலகத்துக்கு ஸ்பெயின் நாட்டில் இருந்து வந்த பார்சல் சோதனை செய்யப்பட்டது. அந்த அட்டைபெட்டி பார்சலை திறந்து பார்த்தபோது, ஒரு வாழ்த்து அட்டை மற்றும் இரண்டு சில்வர் நிற பிளாஸ்டிக் பைகள் இருந்தன. அவற்றில் ஒன்றை பிரித்து பார்த்தபோது, இளஞ்சிவப்பு நிற மாத்திரைகள் ஒரு பக்கத்தில் மண்டை ஓட்டு வடிவில் இருந்தன. இவை எம்டிஎம்ஏ போதை அல்லது பரவச மாத்திரைகள் என அழைக்கப்படுகிறது. மொத்தம் 994 மாத்திரைகள் இருந்தன. இவற்றின் மதிப்பு ரூ.50 லட்சம். இவை பறிமுதல் செய்யப்பட்டன.
வாழ்த்து அட்டையை திறந்து பார்த்தபோது, அதில் உள்ள வெள்ளை நிற பிளாஸ்டிக் பாக்கெட்டில் LSD “Lysergic Acid Diethylamide ஸ்டாம்புகள் மறைத்து வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்தன. இவை உறிஞ்சும் தாளில் போதை மருந்து ஏற்றப்பட்ட வண்ண ஸ்டாம்புகள். இவை துண்டு துண்டாக ஒவ்வொரு டோஸாக எடுத்துக் கொள்ளப்படும் போதை மருந்து. இவற்றின் மதிப்பு ரூ.6 லட்சம்.
இந்த பார்சல் புதுச்சேரி ஆரோவில்லி பகுதியில் உள்ள ஜேஎம்ஜே மதர்லேண்ட் என்ற பெயரில் ஒருவருக்கு அனுப்பப்பட்டுள்ளது. இந்த முகவரியில் சென்னை விமான நிலைய சுங்கத்துறையினர் மற்றும் கடலூர் சுங்க அதிகாரிகள் சோதனை நடத்தினர். அங்கிருந்த இருவர் கைது செய்யப்பட்டனர். அவர்கள் வீட்டில் ஆந்திர மாநிலம் குண்டூரில் இருந்து வாங்கி வந்த இரு கஞ்சா பாக்கெட்டுகள் இருந்தன. 5.5 கிலோ எடையிலான இந்த கஞ்சாவின் மதிப்பு ரூ.2.5 லட்சம். இவையும் பறிமுதல் செய்யப்பட்டன.
இந்த கடத்தல் தொடர்பாக திருநெல்வேலியைச் சேர்ந்த ஓவியர் ரூபக்மணிகண்டன்,(29) கோழிப் பண்ணையில் வேலை செய்யும் லாய் வீகஸ்(28) ஆகியோர் கைது செய்யப்பட்டனர். இவர்கள் இருவரும் ஆலந்தூர் மாஜிஸ்திரேட் நீதிமன்றத்தில் ஆஜர்படுத்தப்பட்டு நீதிமன்ற காவலில் வைக்கப்பட்டனர்.
மொத்தம் ரூ.58.5 லட்சம் மதிப்பிலான போதை மாத்திரைகள், எல்எஸ்டி ஸ்டாம்புகள் மற்றும் கஞ்சா ஆகியவை போதை பொருள் தடுப்பு சட்டத்தின் கீழ் பறிமுதல் செய்யப்பட்டன.
இது தொடர்பாக மேலும் விசாரணை நடப்பதாக சென்னை சர்வதேச விமான நிலை சுங்க ஆணையர் ராஜன் சவுத்திரி தெரிவித்துள்ளார்.
In a major breakthrough, based on information Chennai air customs intercepted a postal parcel which came from Spain at Foreign Post Office on suspicion of containing narcotics. On opening a cardboard box was found containing a greeting card and two silver plastic pouches. On cut opening pouches, pink colour tablets with skull shape on side suspected to be MDMA, were found inside. Total 994 “Pink Punisher” MDMA or Ecstasy tablets valued at Rs. 50 lakhs were recovered. On opening the greeting card, one white plastic packet was found in which LSD “Lysergic Acid Diethylamide” Stamps were concealed. Total, 249 LSD stamps valued at Rs. 6 lakhs were recovered.
The parcel was addressed to a person residing at ‘JMJ Motherland a locality near Auroville Puducherry. Searches were carried out by a team of Chennai Air Customs and Cuddalore Customs officers at given address. Two persons residing there were apprehended. Also during search two packets of Guntur (Andhra Pradesh) cannabis (Ganja) was found in house. On questioning they informed that they had procured the ganja from Andhra. Ganja weighing 5.5 kg valued at Rs. 2.5 lakhs was recovered and seized. Rubakmanikandan, 29, of Tirunelveli (TN) a freelance mural artist and one Loy Viegus,28, who works in a chicken farm appeared to be junkies and were arrested for their role in smuggling. Both accused were presented before Hon’ble Judicial Magistrate Alandur today and were remanded to judicial custody.
Total, 994 “Pink Punisher” Ecstasy tablets, 249 LSD Stamps and Andhra cannabis worth Rs. 58.5 lakhs were recovered and seized under NDPS Act, 1985. Two arrested.
Further investigation in under progress, according to a press issued by the Commissioner of Customs, Chennai International Airport.
