Union Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting and Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying L Murugan today inaugurated the the photo exhibition on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) – 75 Years of India’s Independence, organised by Regional Outreach Bureau and Press Information Bureau, Ministry of Information of Broadcasting in the annual Chennai Book Fair held at YMCA grounds in Nandanam, Chennai.
The life history and struggles of 27 freedom fighters are displayed at this exhibition.
Speaking after the inauguration, Murugan said,” This exhibition has brought out the sacrifices and history of freedom fighters who are not popularly known. Organising this photo exhibition in the traditional Chennai Book Fair is very special. This will be a learning experience for many, especially students.“
He also appreciated the efforts taken to explain the sacrifices made by freedom fighters like Subash Chandra Bose and Sardar Vallabai Patel.
Murugan urged people to visit the exhibition and get to know more about these freedom fighters and their sacrifices.
சுதந்திரப் போராட்ட வீரர்கள் அனுபவித்த சிரமங்கள் அவர்களது தியாகம் ஆகியவற்றை பொதுமக்கள் கண்டு படித்து உணரும் வகையில் மத்திய தகவல் ஒலிபரப்பு அமைச்சகத்தின் மண்டல மக்கள் தொடர்பு அலுவலகம்/ பத்திரிகை தகவல் அலுவலகம் சார்பில் சென்னை நந்தனம் புத்தகக் கண்காட்சி வளாகத்தில் புகைப்படக் கண்காட்சிக்கு ஏற்பாடு செய்யப்பட்டுள்ளது.
இந்த கண்காட்சியை மத்திய தகவல் மற்றும் ஒலிபரப்பு, மீன்வளம், கால்நடை பராமரிப்பு & பால்வளத்துறை இணையமைச்சர் டாக்டர் எல். முருகன் இன்று திறந்து வைத்து பார்வையிட்டார். தொடர்ந்து நிகழ்ச்சியில் பேசிய அவர், சுதந்திரப் போராட்ட வரலாறு தொடர்பான புகைப்படக் காட்சி சென்னையின் பாரம்பரியமிக்க புத்தகக் காட்சியில் அமைக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது சிறப்பான நிகழ்வு எனவும், சுதந்திரப் போராட்டத்தில் பங்காற்றிய பல்வேறு அறியப்படாத வீரர்களின் தியாகம், வரலாறு ஆகியவை இந்த புகைப்படக் கண்காட்சி மூலம் வெளிப்பட்டுள்ளதாகவும் தெரிவித்தார்.
மாணவர்கள், வருங்கால சந்ததியினர் மற்றும் பலரும் அறியப்படாதசுதந்திர போராட்ட வீரர்கள் குறித்து அறிந்து கொள்ள இந்த கண்காட்சி உதவும் எனகுறிப்பிட்டார். சுயராஜ்ஜியம், தண்டி யாத்திரை, நேதாஜி சுபாஷ் சந்திர போஸ், சர்தார் வல்லபாய் படேல் ஆகியோரது தியாகங்கள் குறித்து இந்த கண்காட்சியில் சிறப்பாகவிளக்கப்பட்டுள்ளது என பாராட்டு தெரிவித்தார்.
இந்த கண்காட்சியை பொதுமக்கள் அனைவரும் கண்டு நாட்டின் விடுதலை போராட்டத்தின் பல்வேறு தரப்பினரின் தியாகங்கள் குறித்து அறிந்து கொள்ள வேண்டுமென அமைச்சர் கேட்டுக் கொண்டார்.
